Naomi was my attending midwife under supervision for the pregnancy and birth of my 4th born. During my prenatal appointments Naomi demonstrated immense knowledge and compassion answering any questions I had and helping me navigate gestational diabetes. I delivered my baby on my bed into the safe hands of Naomi. She got the unique privilege of telling us we had a baby girl when we had been under the impression that we were having a boy. A year later Naomi texted me on my daughter’s birthday reflecting on that memorable surprise. I’m very thankful for the care I received by Naomi and I would recommend Tell the Bees Midwifery to anyone looking for a homebirth.

Frequently Asked Questions

The $5,000 global fee is a single, bundled charge that covers your full course of midwifery care from your first prenatal visit through six weeks after birth.

This fee is intended to cover:

Prenatal care

  • Scheduled prenatal visits, routine in-office screening, and ongoing support through pregnancy

Birth care

  • Midwife services during labor and birth in your planned out-of-hospital setting

Postpartum + newborn care

  • Home visits in the first six weeks after birth for both you and baby, including general lactation support

Continuity of care

  • Availability for urgent needs and questions as you move through pregnancy
The deposit of $500 is due at the first visit and is applied to the global fee. The remaining balance is paid over time and is due in full by 34 weeks of pregnancy.

Yes, payment plans are available so you can spread costs across pregnancy. Reach out for more information.

Tell The Bees Midwifery is not in network with any insurance company. Artemis Billing may help you seek reimbursement from your insurance. The contract for insurance billing is with Artemis Billing, not with Tell The Bees Midwifery. This is an additional $75.

Some services are billed only if needed (for example, a birth assistant fee, certain therapies/medications, or travel for longer distances).

We use Labcop, but we are able to draw labs in home, saving you the visit to a Labcorp location.

In addition to the global fee, there are a few separate charges for specific services. These are only billed when they are actually needed and used.

$125 IV therapy

  • If IV fluids are requested outside of your birth window

Rhogam

  • Market rate
  • If received through the practice

Travel fee for longer distances:

  • $300 when your home is 50+ miles from the practice, and hotel fees for an overnight stay if required (market rate)
  • Details would be discussed during the consulation

Additional midwife for multiples

  • $1000 if a second midwife is needed for twin or higher order pregnancies.
We will review fees together during your consultation so you know what to expect and can plan ahead.
